Welcome Message

Greetings,

On behalf of Sally MacPhedran, President, and the ISSWSH Education Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the 2026 ISSWSH Fall Course!

We are returning to the beautiful We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort in Fort McDowell, just 20 miles northeast of Scottsdale, Arizona. The Annual Fall Course continues to grow in popularity and has sold out for the past four years — even with the increased capacity of our newer venue. This year, we are making the most of everything We-Ko-Pa has to offer by continuing our Annual Foundations Fall Course and Hands-On Vulvovaginal Course.

The Foundations Course remains the cornerstone of what we do, and we are proud of the community it has built. Year after year, providers leave Arizona having gained not just new knowledge, but a new lens through which they approach their patients. We are proud to offer a high-level, truly interdisciplinary program presented by a diverse faculty spanning multiple specialties — because we know that the best care for patients with sexual health concerns rarely comes from one discipline alone.

Every year the Fall Course delivers updated content while staying committed to teaching the essentials of practicing sexual medicine — from genitopelvic and sexual pain, hormone management, and pelvic floor physical therapy, to coding, billing, and the care of marginalized communities. Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, this course is designed to expand your clinical knowledge, sharpen your critical thinking, and give you the practical tools to meaningfully improve sexual health outcomes for every patient you see. It is relevant for providers across all disciplines — MDs, NPs, PAs, PTs, CNMs, and mental health professionals at every stage of their careers.

One of the things our attendees love most is the chance to step away from the lecture hall and into smaller, more intimate breakout sessions where real conversations happen. These sessions are designed for you to connect directly with faculty, work through challenging cases, and leave with answers and skills that are actually applicable to your practice on Monday morning.

This year, we are also excited to offer a special Friday evening ticketed event, Denim, Diamonds, and Dinner in the Desert, at nearby Fort McDowell Adventures. Set beneath the stars of the Sonoran Desert, this unforgettable Arizona evening will bring attendees together for Southwestern dining, live entertainment, Western-inspired fun, and meaningful connection in a uniquely beautiful setting. Whether you arrive in boots and denim or a little desert sparkle, we hope you will join us for what promises to be one of the highlights of the Fall Course experience.

We are continuing to offer the Hands-On Vulvovaginal Disorders Course on Sunday. This half-day program provides direct, supervised hands-on training using live models for vulvar and pelvic floor examination, vulvoscopy techniques, identification of key vulvar conditions, and discussion of advanced procedures in sexual medicine. Attendance is capped at 60 registrants and consistently fills quickly — so register early! It remains one of a kind and is a particular must for any provider performing physical exams on patients with vulvas.

ISSWSH remains deeply committed to equitable representation in research, education, and patient care. Across all programs, you will find content that prepares you to be a more skilled, more informed, and more compassionate provider for every patient you serve.

We cannot wait to see you in Arizona!
