Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to invite you to register for the relaunched ISSWSH Genitopelvic Pain Course! Since the launch of this course in 2022, we have had over 750 attendees — and the demand for more has not stopped.

This year, we are excited to introduce a TED-style talk at the opening of each session. These talks will be delivered by both expert clinicians and passionate advocates in this space and are designed to inspire, motivate, and bring real human context to the clinical material that follows — promoting awareness of the importance of sexual health to a wider audience and creating a lasting impact for learners.

With high-yield topics and an interactive format, this course provides directly applicable tools to help you confidently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients suffering from vulvovaginal and pelvic pain. Sessions are organized using a region-based approach and presenting symptoms, opening with “The Tools” and then progressing to symptoms and conditions of the vulvar vestibule, the clitoris, the bladder and urethra, the vulva, and the pelvis.  Expert faculty in the field of Female Sexual Medicine will break down specialized topics, including Provoked Vestibulodynia (PVD), Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), vulvar dermatoses, Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS), pudendal neuralgia, Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD), Endometriosis, and more.

The course consists of six monthly virtual sessions spanning August 2026 through February 2027. Each session will be two-hours and 15 minutes, each opening with a TED-style talk and closing with a 30-minute live Q&A with expert faculty.

In addition to the virtual series, this course will once again incorporate a hands-on instructional session at the 2027 ISSWSH Annual Meeting in Vancouver, Canada (separate registration) — giving you the opportunity to apply what you have learned alongside colleagues and faculty in person.

This course is designed for all healthcare providers with an interest in female genitopelvic pain — including MDs, NPs, PAs, PTs, CNMs, and mental health providers. Whether you are new to this space or looking to deepen your existing expertise, you will leave each session with concrete tools and clinical confidence you can apply immediately with your patients.

We look forward to learning alongside you.
